MY MORNING:

Today as we set out on our walk to the lighthouse, the sun´s warming glow already drying the dew- kissed snake´s slither on the path before our feet. The air fresh & tinkling in the pine woods surrounding us. A couple of ebony ravens flew out of the old disused ochre mine, their plumes shimmering jet in the morning light. We ascended on our way to the top, taking in the sounds & sights. Wild holly´s red berries glowing amongst nutty brown pine cones, a rabbit hopped, a pheasant dashed, a dragonfly darted, showing off her sun beamed embroidered wings, & we were serenaded to our destination by a myriad of woodland birds. At the top of the lighthouse we looked down upon the basin of Albir bay, brimming with the lapislazuli sea, soft & gentle in the morning´s silver light. We made our way down again, taking in the aromas of chocolatey carob pods crushed beneath our feet, wild thyme & other unidentifiable herby scents. Swallows dipped in farewell as we made our way into town, & one solitary gull floated high above us on a hazy thermal. I was ready for my morning coffee.
