BE GENTLE:

Be gentle with me; I pray,
I’m but a feather wafting on the breeze,
I’m the whisper between torn lovers,
I’m the hollow chattering of cold winter trees,
Be gentle & I will teach you how to play.

Be gentle with me; I pray,
I’m the breath upon the dying tongue,
I’m the tiptoe of unheard steps,
I’m the inner voice of hymns unsung,
Be gentle & I will teach you to dance & sway.

Be gentle with me; I pray,
I’m the tear upon the lost child´s cheek,
I’m the silent chant of nun at prayer,
I’m the mute voice of the sad & meek,
Be gentle & I will teach you to kneel & pray.

Be gentle with me; I pray,
I’m the quiet word scribed on bard´s new page,
I’m the droplet on petal, after raging storm,
I’m the secret wisdom of the wise old sage,
Be gentle & I will teach you magic words to say.

Be gentle with me; I pray,
I’m the silence of moon, stars & sun,
I’m the quiet creation of life´s being,
I’m the past; but I’ve only just begun,
Be gentle, & with you, forever I will stay.
