WINTER TO SPRING:

He crept into my room one night,
Beguiling smile betraying might,
Winter´s slaying sword in hand,
Slashing thunder upon the land,
In his eyes, bejeweled stars,
Upon his tongue, the fire of mars.
He came, inviting the moon to fight,
Icicles shaking at their plight,
God of winter storms, I implore,
Bid farewell to the icy hore,
Make room for this new born dawn,
For spring´s gentle, fragrant morn,
From the heavens, Luna smiles with love,
And angels sing on high, above,
The new buds kiss pregnant moon,
Spring shall emerge so very soon,
As winter has lost his fight,
Now he´s weak & takes to flight,
So that spring may dance anew,
And life abounds with gentle dew.
