THE WINDOW:

Behind lighted window, in the dark,

A problem,  a tear,  a smile,  a pain,

Behind every curtain, a story to be told,

The whispered words of love, the spat remark,

Raindrops weep, listening on the sill,

Snowdrops caress cold inquisitive glass,

Sunbeams smile on the sleeping babe,

Whilst wind whispers warnings to the aged so still.
