WALKING AWAY:

She turned her back and walked away,
From the dance, where once they swayed,
Away from the bed, where once they laid,
From the games, once enjoyed and played,
She walked through the door saying,
“I cannot stay”.

She walked away from the hurt words said,
From all her quiet tears, sobbed and shed,
Away from the now cold and crumpled bed,
From the place where now her sore heart bled,
She walked through the gate saying,
“As of now, I´m no longer wed”.
