Folk wondered, whether winter lingered or
was dead,
Folk waited long, to see what the old
groundhog said,
Folk wondered, if he would stay or return
to his bed,
Folk watched, while old groundhog nodded
his head.
The groundhog awakens, thinking it is his
lucky day,
The groundhog emerges, determined to have
his say,
The old groundhog says, “Yippee &
hooray-hooray”,
Punxsuatawney Phil says,”Yep, spring is on
its way”.
