EYES OF DESERT SOLITUDE:

Sun baked sands,
Blue endless skies,
Do I see in Bedouin eyes?
Colours of gold sweep your past,
Just as sands breathe so fast,
To cover trace of man.

The night is there,
So deep, so black, so wide,
A blanket under which no man can hide,
Where whispered breeze sighs of spice,
Days of fire, nights of ice,
Where the soul of man is laid so bare.

Twinkling lights of diamond stars,
Venus, Jupiter & distant Mars,
Or is it happiness that shines,
Knowing you are free,
Roaming secret desert lands,
Over hot, cruel unforgiving sands?
