Time to throw out, toss out & eliminate,
Time to chuck out, to bin & to terminate,
All those things used & now disregarded,
Items of no use now deceased & discarded.
The old bra, with strap now greying & floppy,
Lace-less shoe, with sole cracked & so droppy,
Books, read & re-read & now no longer
savoured,
Teabags infused, cold, squeezed & un-flavoroured.
Knickers, like old credit cards, cut to fine shreds,
Soppy old boyfriends, banned from creased beds,
Dress that´s too tight & shirt, with collar
now frayed,
Our faith now lost, that was once, long ago prayed.
All sorted & ordered, then swept, mopped &
clean,
No memories left now & no more past to be
seen,
Thrown out with time, all secrets, once guarded,
Everything, tight, used & old, deceased &
discarded.
