ALLOW ME:

Allow me, to be the feather in the wing,

Of that beautiful bird, that sweetly sings,

Allow me, to be that hair within the fur,

Of that wild beast, that prowls & purrs,

Allow me, to be the tear from moist eye,

Of weeping, from the shuddering sigh,

Allow me, to be the song in happy voice,

Of all who sing loud, merely to rejoice,

Allow me, to be the word in Holy prayer,

Of those who whisper, upon final stair,

Allow me, to be the breath within all life,

Of succour to those, tiptoeing through strife,

Allow me, to just be love within the heart,

And from that special place, I will never part.
