SPANISH SIGHINGS:

Lash casting sable shadow, upon magnolia face,

Love weaving dreams, within her sleep, like lace,

Fat pollen-kissed bees, tap on hot window pane,

Garden-sprinkler whirring, pretending to be rain,

Drowsy afternoon siesta, soft & roundly sighing,

The world supine, in deep sleep, now soundly lying,

Flamenco echoes strummed, upon red distant breeze,

Cicadas dancing softly, within the ancient carob trees,

Over the distant blue sierras, of ardent Spanish sighing,

The SeƱorita lies dreaming, with afternoon´s small dying.
