Doesn´t our
society know, or even try to realize,
Just take some
time to listen & to look into her eyes,
Woman &
her babies, trying hard to make ends meet,
Searching in
the dustbins, for something they can eat.
She´s eking
out few meager coins, to see how far it goes,
Aching within
her heart, to the extent that no one knows,
Scraping knees
in scrubbing & existence where she can,
This life of
drudgery she is living was never in her plans.
In front of
her small babies, she never dared to shed a tear,
She always
had that smile, “It will be better in coming year,”
While having
small lives to fight for, never would she cede,
Making sure
her children would never have to see her plead.
