He ruled over
her poor soul with an iron clad fist,
Until the person
she was, she now hardly missed,
She was ground
down by his heel & under his thumb,
Until the person
she was, became so totally numb.
She gave him all
her love, all her body & her soul,
She gave him
fine sons, all her time & her whole,
Only glancing he
gave her, was the back of his hand,
Why he never
cared for her, she couldn´t understand.
How can time
drag by & yet disappear away so fast?
How could she
have left herself, so far back in the past?
The day then
dawned, when she opted for new gladness,
Breaking all
over ruling chains, of a lifetime of sadness.
