I asked her, if you had life over again, what
would you do?
The old lady looked me in the eye & said
“Let me tell you,
I would run further, I would swim deeper
& higher, I´d fly,
And for all the good reasons, I would then
learn to cry”.
If I had my life over again, I´d surely learn
to play,
I´d pray deeply every night & I´d dance
every day,
I´d sing in the mornings, from the first
dawning light,
And then I would love with ferocity, every
given night.
If I had life over again, I would learn to
forget & forgive,
I´d pardon all sins & from bad, the good
I would sieve,
I would tell you, “I love you” & remove
all that life chafes,
And I promise you child, “That I would never
play safe”.
