Please, mirror-mirror
on planet-nature´s wall,
Pray tell me truly,
who’s the fairest of them all?
Oh to be so
very beautiful, but not to be aware,
Not knowing
if one is plain ugly or really truly fair.
Nature´s
beasts & flowers, every insect, fish & fly,
Not knowing, not
caring & never ever asking why,
“Say, am I handsome,
beautiful, pretty, fat or thin?”
Their looks unimportant,
none to lose & none to win.
The mirrors of
life, those rivers, lakes & cold icy ponds,
Where images are
still & quiet beneath big leafy fronds,
Where the
beast, bird & insect gaily bend & gently dip,
Peering at their
reflections, as they sup & thirstily sip.
No narcissistic
vanity with which to put upon their name,
Not caring for
appearance & feeling absolutely no shame,
Just happily contented,
with being exactly how they are,
Without any fault,
sans sin & with nothing to hide nor mar.
Still waters of
this planet have washed their beauty clean,
Gods of heaven
tell the birds, as with pride they daily preen,
And the winds
whisper, “You´re beautiful, every single one,
Just be the way
you are, as your parents, the moon & sun”.
