MAY I ASK YOU TO DANCE?

May I ask you to dance?

Where all displeasure is written,

Upon cracked walls of iniquity,

Where old hearts are smitten.

May I ask you to dance?

Where all sins are committed,

Upon sad souls of dissolution,

Where love is never admitted.

May I ask you to dance?

Where smiles leave unhappy faces,

Upon dark shadows of lost sunshine,

Where death lurks in all living places.

May I ask you to dance?

Where there is unhappiness & pain,

Upon all the dead, grey & dreaded,

Where it ends & we may begin again.
