Let us have our tea, just you, her & me,
We´ll lay out small table, only for us three,
We will dress in lilac & softest lupine
blue,
Upon our heads, we´ll don our best hats too.
Let us have our tea, just you, her & me,
Upon the lacy lawn, beneath the willow tree,
We´ll sip from tiny cups, sprigged in delicate
rose,
And beneath pink tablecloth, wiggle our little
toes.
Let us have our tea, just you, her & me,
We´ll have scones & cream, to sup with China
tea,
Dainty crust-less sandwiches, a little cup cake
or two,
Who´ll play mum, shall I pour the tea, or will
it be you?
