When I was &
so alone, you came & took me home,
To me you petted,
would talk, & take me for walks,
You stroked my old
head & you gave me a soft bed,
You gave me my
name & removed my solitary pain,
You cared &
I loved you, together we were ever true,
You got so old
& so did I, us of rusty limbs & milky eyes,
Then God came
& took you away, I was told to sit & stay,
Now you´re gone,
I´m all alone, without you I´ve no home,
Nothing will ever
be the same; until I hear you call my name,
And here upon
your tomb I´ll lie, until it´s time for me to die.
