Allow me, to softly kiss your lily-white
hand,
To ask you for the evening´s very last
dance,
To request our song, from life´s playing
band,
To slay dragons for you, with amorous
lance.
Allow me, to walk you down petal-strewn
aisle,
To love you so profoundly & give you
ripe seeds,
To walk by your side, down motherhood´s
mile,
To make you my poem, song, story & my
creeds.
Allow me, to wipe your cheek, of flowing wept
tears,
To whisper of my love, in the ebbing of your
breath,
To give you all my gratitude, for all your gifted
years,
To ask you to take my love, on your journey
into death.
