There were times when life clung to me like dewdrops,

When I whispered with breezes & yelled with old winds,

There were times when I donned flower´s pretty petals,

When I danced & whirled with Autumn´s falling leaves,

There were times when the soft sun bestowed me kisses,

When opal moonbeams stroked my unloved dreamings,

There were times when all my wishes turned to fishes,

When upon the backs of tidal whales, I would flee afar,

There were times when my tears were mere raindrops,

When my smiles were like gold stardust within your eyes,

There were times when my laughter was your only music,

When waterfalls ran through my blood with happy glee,

There were times when field & forest were my friends,

When those far distant drums were my only heartbeat,

Oh yes, those were the times.
