We are the
family, the tribe, the clan & close knit group,
Belonging
together, pulling together, inseparable troupe,
Flying in
chevron, mating for life, just like birds of a feather,
Helping each
other, supporting each other, staying together.
The pack,
swarm, shoal, pod, school & that wandering herd,
We are animals
all, whether of humble beast or soaring bird,
In elements
of air, of water or walking upon this solid earth,
We stick
together til we die, from the very first day of our birth.
We hunt, we sow,
we gather, we collect, we support & we love,
We fight, we play,
we dance & we pray hard to the Gods above,
Holding hands
in temples & circles, always walking side by side,
Rubbing together,
skin, fur, feathers, scales & beautiful hides.
We all have our
leaders, our chief, our king or our alpha male,
Maybe it´s the
matriarch, or the good Queen to whom we hail,
Following or obeying,
keeping us on track, together all knit tight,
No matter if we
are yellow, black, red, spotted, striped or white.
Paying homage
to the Goddess, all the Gods or merely the One,
To Deities of
oceans, to Mother moon, the stars or to Father Sun,
Praying in stone
circles, church, mosque, temple or Druid´s Grove,
No matter the
place, we always move together in roaming droves.
Together we were
born, from the very start of life´s first light,
Marching, from
clay into day, snuggling close together at night,
Clans, tribes,
races, species, of many lands from near & far away,
Holding hearts
& souls together, for in packs we shall never stray.
