FRAUDULENT DAY:
Oh what a
fraudulent day you are conning me into thinking it spring. It is a metalic
shining day today. Cerridwen silverly smiling at diamond stars whilst clinging
onto titanium sky, knowing her hours are numbered. The bold iron mountain
echoes the tinny voices of distant gulls. Murano-glass sea caressed by gossamer
breeze, lies still & patient, not knowing in which season she lies.
Platinum beach adorned with opal pebbles glistening
in early morning syrupy, lemon-drop sunshine. Day emerges, birds atwitter,
butterflies flitter, bronze, copper & metalic mulberry, & my heart
aflutter. Is this Spring? no, just a brief fling, the last of marigolds,
bourganvilla & lavender blue. The world is bathed in golden light but I
know it is fleeting & cheating, but who am I to complain?
