DUTIES:

Dawn cracking, as dawn does,

Worms doing, what worms do,

And birds doing, what birds do,

The rain doing, what rain does.

Teardrop rain, softens hard earth,

Soft earth yielding, to bird´s beaks,

Worms wriggle, towards the light,

Without God´s tears, no rebirth.

THE WELSH INVENTED MISTS:

The Welsh invented mists,

To cuddle & cwtch all their folk beneath,

To caress their fields, forests & ferny heath,

To mantle their soft lands, in gentle sleep,

To nurture seeds below, to feed their sheep.

The Welsh invented mists,

To hide all their prized & precious dragons,

To muffle the sound of their passing wagons,

To huddle low under, in cwtched Welsh hugs,

By firesides warming & clutching cozy mugs.

The Welsh invented mists,

Those ancient Welsh tears, echoing cold wails,

Blanketed beneath legends, myths & old tales,

Lost mists, nobody wanted & loved by so few,

Mists finding solace, in loving arms of Cymru.

IF I WERE A BIRD:

If I were a bird, I would be the blue jay,

And I would talk to the lazy brown trout,

Where green river reeds dance & sway.

If I were a bird, I would be proud eagle,

And I would fly away, beyond far oceans,

Where I would converse with the seagull.

If I were a bird, I would be an ebony raven,

And I would sit upon dark cold tombstones,

Where I´d talk to the dead, within their haven.

If I were a bird, I would be white silent swan,

And I would glide slowly, upon the quiet lakes,

Where, being mute, I would never talk to anyone.

HUSH:

HUSH,

It is merely the old whisper, of the son I once had,

The ripple of red poppies, that makes me feel so sad,

The drone of rusted planes, now forgotten in the past,

The silence upon the prayer is the only thing that lasts.

HUSH,

It is merely sod of earth, shifting with sobs, & heaving,

Crimson fields of poppies, bowing softly in their breathing,

Winds of time, now rustling the leaves of memories gone,

All heroes of our nations, their voices, lost within our song.

HUSH,

It is merely echoing of boots, within the muddy trenches,

The lost smiles loitering & within our hearts, entrenches,

The voices of young men, then, so far-away from home,

The sons of all those mothers, now left here all alone.

UNHAPPINESS:

Go away unhappiness, you aren´t a friend of mine,

You don´t belong in my heart, for you, I have no time,

Go away unhappiness, why don´t you leave me alone?

You don´t belong in my life & here, you have no home,

Go away unhappiness, with you, I don´t want to play,

Please leave me alone, I just don´t want you to stay,

Go away unhappiness, I´ll blow you away on the winds,

I´ll bury you under stones & discard you in garbage bins,

Go away unhappiness, there is just nothing here for you,

I´ve changed my colour to pink & I no longer wear your blue.
