A LOVE SO FORBIDDEN:
Our Furtive love, was all we knew
& all we had,
Deemed by society, as so sinful &
really so bad,
Our trysts were well hidden &
our kisses so fleet,
Notes passed under cloaks, for our
hours to meet,
Our soft whispers escaped & our
secrets then flew,
Falling upon ears of judges, &
then everyone knew,
Signaled & pointed at, & cruelly
pelted with stones,
But the love we had, was still so
deep in our bones.
