Come & travel with me, come along, let´s
now go,
We shall hop, skip, fly & sail, but also,
shall tiptoe,
We shall fly over old continents & sail
over the seas,
We´ll swim in warm lakes, & oceans cold
fit to freeze.
We shall paddle down the Amazon, Ebro, Nile
& more,
Run through forests & fields, not knowing
what´s in store,
Waltz through Vienna, & in Madrid, drink
blood red wine,
We will touch islands & deserts, where stars
softly shine.
We shall do all of Africa, Asia, the Americas
& way below,
Kiss tulips in Amsterdam, where old winds sweetly
blow,
We´ll soar over Mosques & steeples, of Imams
& old Popes,
We shall escape to Gretna Green, where lovers
go to elope.
Come & travel with me, over icy snows, silts
& mud sods,
We´ll amble over hallowed ground, far older
than the Gods,
We´ll breathe fresh air of nature, stilled in
time´s perfume,
And when we´ve done it all, we´ll start then,
with the moon.
