Her love lay lonely, within the gutters of
her heart,
Scattered, her emotions, now all torn wide
apart,
Used & wasted kisses, lying shredded
& tattered,
Echoing old feelings, in her dreams now
shattered.
The words
of love once whispered, today so very rusted,
All vowed promises now broken, so rent
& sadly busted,
Her memories within solitude, now lost upon
love´s tune,
On teary winds of time, old love letters blow
wetly strewn.
All those loving images, now framed in
attics of sepia lace,
Banished to life´s past, within the mind´s
darkened place,
Once a lovely dream, yet now, merely loves
sadly broken,
A sad heart patched & plastered, is a
heart to life awoken.
