La Luna, your mother, brought you forth in
light,
Giving you birth in the sky, within the
dead of night,
She sent you to play amongst the diamonded
stars,
You´re kissed with blessings of Saturn,
Jupiter & Mars.
Babe of the moon, of aeons & time´s new
beginnings,
Schooled in shining stars & the sun´s
orbital spinnings,
You who play with meteors & those
far-flung comets,
It is you, to whom poets dedicate their
odes & sonnets.
You dance in swirling moon dust & soft
misted beams,
You play with ocean´s tides & tickle
lakes & cold streams,
You whisper to snowy Decembers & sing
to balmy Junes,
Pretty little moonbeam, babe of our mother the
moon.
