YOU´RE MY CAKE:

In the mixing bowl of my empty heart,

The beginning of my cake, I´ll duly start,

Ingredients poured & added, one by one,

Step by step, the recipe for wanted sons.

A spoonful of that, a dash & a pinch of this,

Stirring & mixing, with an added sweet kiss,

In go the basics, of blood, vein, sinew & bone,

With Vital organs & skin, I´ll blend you to home.

In each beat of whisk, your heart starts to throb,

Pouring you into your mould, I now stifle a sob,

Into the oven of my womb, I now put you to bake,

And patiently I´ll wait, for you, my sweet little cake.

When the alarm pings & rings, to tell my you´re done,

I´ll gently remove you & now we´ll start all the fun,

I shall ice you with kindness & with a frosting of love,

You´ll be sprinkled with blessings from the shaker above.

You shall be decorated with all the beauty you´ll need,

You´ll be sweet natured & free, from hardness & greed,

You´ll be my perfect confection, mixed, melded & baked,

Just a kiss of a cherry on top, to perfect my sweet baby cake.

LET´S PRAY:

Let´s pray for the unloved & those who are loved,

For those who are down & for those who´re above,

Let’s pray for the homeless & those who have homes,

We all need prayers, the secure & all those who roam.

Let´s pray for the unwell & for those who are healthy,

For the needy & poor & for all those who are wealthy,

Let´s pray for the illiterate & for all who´re well read,

We all need prayers, the hungry & also those well fed.

Let´s pray for the unfriendly & for all those with friends,

For those newly born & for all those nearing their end,

Let´s pray for the lonely & for all those who´re not alone,

We all need prayers, the sinners & all those who atone.

Let´s pray for the leaders & for all those who must follow,

For those who are happy & for those feeling so hollow,

Let´s pray for the smilers & for all those who just frown,

We all need prayers, the swimmers & all those who drown.

Let´s pray for the flyers & for those who plod, skulk & walk,

For those who are silent & also for all those who must talk,

Let´s pray for the workers & for the desperate unemployed,

We all need prayers, the sad, the unhappy & those overjoyed.

Let´s pray for our allies & for our foes, within our sad wars,

For flora & fauna, those of fin, scale, fur, claw & soft paws,

Let´s pray for enlightenment of humanity & sorry mankind,

We all need prayers, to thank, improve & to always be kind.

SOLILOQUY OF SILICA:

Nobody listens, nor hears your gravelly voice,

But I´m here now, talk, I give you that choice,

I´m listening to you, with my ear to the ground,

I know you have opinions; I hear your heart pound.

Sing me secrets in songs, in gravel tongued whisper,

Tell me tales of old, exuding from your silica glister,

Please wax lyrical to me, of your ancient lived stories,

Of what you´ve seen & of your old battles & glories.

Pander me with poetry, from newly born pebbles,

So that my cynical heartbeat throbs & then trebles,

Whisper wind-fallen words, of secrets dark stowed,

Upon those old trade winds, soft wafted & blowed.

Will you tell me tender, of wondrous white whales?

From deep in your heart, hard & as cold as steel nails,

Rhyme me from the rock, of your un-breathable stones,

Tell stories, sonnets & odes, from inside your old bones.

Bandy me, with bulerias of sand, stone & gritty clay boulder,

From your heart & soul, where life could never get colder,

Soliloquy of ancient old silica, I am yours for the listening,

As silently upon earth, you forever sit, stolid & glistening.

I WANT TO WALK:

I want to walk, to where witches, in their cauldrons stir,

I want to follow those of feather, paw, claw, talon & fur,

I want to ramble in those places, where black ravens rove,

High up in heaven´s skies, above wise old Druid´s groves.

I want to roam, to places, where no man has ever been,

I want to go to old sites, where I shall never-ever be seen,

I want to wend to places, where wishes always come true,

Where forest´s arms embrace clouds, in skies of cyan blue.

I want to softly tiptoe, to sighing whisper´s secret abode,

I want to wynd down, to the ancient forgotten old roads,

I want to fly within feathers, above all earth´s sad strife,

Be able to say, “I´ve done it, I´ve walked through this old life”.

MY PAGES:

My new book, pristine pages, crisp, sharp & white,

Utopia to the senses, touch, smell & following sight,

Starched with spider-print of ink, in insect-leg black,

Between my eager fingers, now nothing will I lack.

Perfumed with old woody hearts, of dead hewn trees,

Thumbed adventures of love & of pirates on their seas,

Creased, paper romance, heroes & history of past sagas,

Of Druid, beast & Zulu warriors, facing fist-closed laagers.

Used pages dripped & stained, with old coffee, tea & tears,

Wine smudged edges, re-read, throughout my long lived years,

Underlined upon old sheets, all those special heart-kept words,

So they can´t fly away from memory, like naughty errant birds.

Pages soft & floppy now, signed with thumb, sweat & dirty sod,

Fragile & sepia, crumpled & bent, with my sleepy-lidded nods,

Life of ancient pages lived, absorbed, devoured & truly loved,

No longer pristine, but nor upon shelf, forgotten & sadly shoved.
