STRIPPED:

If you only took the time to strip her bare,

You´d find treasures buried deep down there,

Not just her clothes, like a chocolate´s wrap,

Go a step further than the belt, button & strap,

If you peel her skin, you´ll find her gentle flesh,

Remove tendon, vein, muscle & artery’s mesh,

Dig deeper & you´ll unearth her delicate bones,

Deeper you delve, you´ll hear her silent sad groans,

It´s the calling of her heart, that beat of her drum,

If you don´t stop there, you´ll hear her soul strum,

You will find more, with every layer so stripped,

Step by tentative step, with her being unzipped,

You´ll find her very all, when you reach her core,

Her stories, her songs, her poetry & much more,

So please strip her gently & her love will unfold,

Revealing to you, treasures of her secrets, yet untold.

IT´S TIME:

It´s time to awaken & get out of bed,

To drag a comb across my old head,

To run for the bus & then go to work,

To face the day & trying not to shirk,

To clean the house & to keep so busy,

To prepare meals & laundry all´s a tizzy,

To get, once again, back up those stairs,

To kneel upon knees & say my prayers,

To bid all goodnight & a yawn do feign,

To sleep, for tomorrow, time to start again.

OF HER:

Of her, there was nothing, to which he was exempt,

A bit of cynical acid & then, her whole lot of tempt,

He loves her bits of lure & those pieces of tiny pout,

He adores the way she smiles & her tendency to shout,

He loves her wanton humour & her quirky running tears,

Without even mentioning, her black negligees so sheer,

He loves the way she talks, acts & her silly little ways,

The clicking of her heels & those red-lacy tied-up stays,

Her delicate breast, soft knee & her endless rounded hip,

He adores her wrist, endless legs & her scarlet painted lip,

There was nothing of her at all, that didn´t turn his head,

Regardless of time passing, since the day that they were wed.

DUET FOR ONE:

A duet for one, staged for loving applause,

With bated breath, her audience would pause,

Her beauty, waltzing with her sweet perfume,

Their dancing together, to life´s gentle tune.

A duet of scent & beauty, within just one rose

Bowing her head to the world at dusk´s repose,

Upon her stage, there´s never any need for more,

The duet for one, echoing in night´s last encore.

HERMIT:

The day that dawned, was her usual hiding place,

Where from glaring sun, she would bury her face,

Masking her head, in scudding cloak of soft clouds,

So she´d not have to mix with the mingling crowds.

The dark night was the gown, that mantled her being,

Where she´d secrete her old soul, from all those seeing,

Tiptoeing through existence, upon her way back home,

Telling through her silence, “I just want to be alone”.
