SILENT CHILD:

Some children are blind,
Some children are deaf,
Some children are mute.

The little blind child sees not the rose,
But hears his mum´s “I love you´s”,
And the nudge of his puppy´s wet nose.

The little deaf child hears not his laughing friends,
But sees their smiles & reads their happy lips,
And he knows that on his eyes he can depend.

The little mute child says not a precious word,
But sees it all & if lucky, from afar, may even hear,
And always aware, though never, ever heard.

Then there is the child, who is all these things,
Blind, deaf, mute, tight inside & all locked within,
Who cannot see colours, hear music & cannot sing.

Living in a world of silences & dark as any sin,
Nothing; no door to open, no sound, no light,
Relying on the touch of love, through his forever-waiting skin.

You see the dawn & sunlight´s dusk reflecting on scarlet sea,
This child sees the light of Gods in worlds we do not know,
Deep within his soul, beyond his silent unheard plea.

You hear the elephant´s step crossing hot & ancient land,
This child hears the quiet gecko, tiptoeing through his mind,
The sound of souls shifting, across the silent ebony sand.

You can sing a melody in any joyful, colourful tune,
This child sings in the choir of voiceless angels,
While dancing with solitude & imagining the moon.

The blind, deaf, mute child relies on loving mother´s breath & winds wild,
On gentle whispering breezes, on silent praying upon bended knees,
Open your hearts to this silent, solitary little child.

WINTER:

You are the winter of my life,
Because, of all seasons, winter,
Lasts longer & freezes over the strife.

Spring never lasted long enough to grow,
Summer became too hot to survive,
Autumn died quickly & decided to go.

As a winter fire, you warm my heart & soul,
All seasons forgotten, only winter,
Lingers forever, covering the icy gaping hole.

A FRIEND IS:

A friend is the child, who shares his toy,
Without asking returns from girl nor boy,
A friend is the person who´s there in the night,
When you’re afraid, lonely & shaking with fright.

A friend is the man drying the tear from your cheek,
Who understands your soul when you´re too sad to speak,
A friend is the person, who holds tight your hand,
Who´s there when needed without being planned.

A friend is the soldier who loves too the other side,
Who in his enemy´s place, he would rather have died,
A friend is the person, who lifts you up when you fall,
Who, when you´re down, makes you feel so tall.

A friend is the dog, who silently adores,
Who, when you´re sad, will offer you his paws,
A friend is the person, who though far away,
Will for you, silently & daily pray.

A friend is the woman, who soothes your brow,
Who cools your temper after that row,
A friend is the person, who laughs like a drain,
Who makes you smile & believe in life again.

A friend is the bird, who sings you to sleep,
Who knows his song will stop you to weep,
The friend is the person, who sends letter or card,
Who knows the right words to stop life being so hard.

A friend is a friend, even parted by tears,
We may never meet in a million years,
You´re my friend who´s done it all for me in the end,
You´re my earth, my sky, my sea, & my eternal friend.

THERE IS A TIME:

There is a time to weep,
There is a time to leap,
There is a time to sleep,
There is a time to retreat.

The time to weep is for love´s lost past,
The time to leap is for joys that last,
The time to sleep is for dream´s blissful hand,
The time to retreat is for a broken golden band.

DREAMLAND:

Clouds of once-upon-a-time drift through my mind,
Lagoons of lace, seas of crystal, muddy pools turn to ice,
Limbs of mother, sticky new babe with love entwined,
Pan on his pipes, Bacchus aflame, Diana of the woods entice,
The hunter crouches, the deer falls upon the laughing stone,
The trout lazily weeps without knowing why,
Run gypsy boy, it´s not easy, but try to find your home,
Dove ribbons glide pinkly as Venus beckons from the sky,
Afraid of the dark, of death, of sleep divine,
Candy floss, milkshakes & lollipops sweet I see,
A fiesta of joy, celebrated & sublime,
I see it all, my past behind sunset lid & they see me not.
